Experience the mirth and merriment of a Victorian Christmas vocal concert hosted by Robert Missen, featuring soprano Allison Arends, baritone Michael York and pianist Wayne Strongman. Special seasonal refreshments will be served.

A special event in celebration of The Johnson Family Treasury: A Collection of Household Recipes and Remedies 1741-1848! This new publication, based on a manuscript found in an archival collection, contains recipes for foods and other restoratives, plus remedies for a range of human ailments, reflecting a time when “every man was his own doctor.” Sample some sweet treats, check out a remedy for insanity, and hear a brief discussion of the book’s treasures by Professor Nathalie Cooke.

Special Museum Hours

Campbell House Museum will be closed for tours during matinee performances of Talking Heads on:

November 14
November 21

The museum will still be conducting tours by donation during regular hours, Tuesday – Friday 9:30-4:30.
